In Q2 2024, the iOS applications for top theme parks in the US have shown varying trends in downloads and weekly active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.
Disneyland® Paris saw a fluctuation in downloads, starting the quarter with 105K downloads in the first week, dipping to 14K mid-April, and then peaking at 74K in mid-May. Weekly active users showed a similar trend, with an initial 129K active users, declining to 63K, and then rising to 130K by mid-June.
Heide Park Resort experienced a decline in downloads early in the quarter, from 94K to 11K, followed by a rebound to 90K by mid-June. The weekly active users mirrored this pattern, starting at 99K, decreasing to 73K, and then climbing to 134K by the third week of June.
The LEGOLAND® Billund Resort app maintained a steady level of downloads, beginning at 25K and reaching a high of 52K in mid-June. Weekly active users showed growth from 30K in late May to 63K by the end of June.
Port Aventura saw a modest start with 15K downloads in the first week of April, dipping to 1K in the second week, and peaking at 22K in mid-June. Weekly active user counts were highest at the beginning and end of May, with 32K and 27K, respectively, before reaching 38K in mid-June.
Lastly, the Universal Studios Japan app had a quieter quarter, with downloads starting at 33K in the first week of April, falling to zero in the third week, and ending at 5K by late June. Only one data point for weekly active users was available, showing 26K in the first week of April.
